The Village of Blackville is situated along the banks of the beautiful Main Southwest Miramichi River, where the Bartholomew River flows into the main river. Incorporated as a village in 1966, Blackville has a population of 990 and has had a long history related to forestry and salmon fishing.
Blackville is considered the “Salmon Fishing Capital of the Miramichi”.
