$2000 Scholarship for Blackville School Graduates

UPDATE: June 2, 2021. Congratulations to Landon Coughlan, recipient of the BBBS/bgc $2000 scholarship and to Emma Sturgeon, recipient of the $2000 Forsythe Family Scholarship.


For the seventh consecutive year, Big Brothers Big Sisters / Boys & Girls Club of Miramichi is pleased to offer a $2000 scholarship to recognize and reward a student in our community who has demonstrated a passion for volunteering, as well as maintaining a high level of academic achievement.

One graduate, from each of the following schools: Blackville High School, Carrefour Beausoleil, James M. Hill Memorial High School, Miramichi Valley High School, and North and South Esk Regional High School will be eligible to receive a $2000 scholarship.

Previous recipients of this scholarship include Hayley Underhill (2020), Shelby Furlong (2019), Daniel Richard (2018), Kailey Donovan (2017), Laura Jardine (2016) and Graham Manderville (2015).

In addition to the guaranteed $2000 scholarship for Blackville School, three other scholarships are available: the Dorothy Creighton Memorial Bursary valued at $1000, the Forsythe Family Scholarship valued at $2000 and the Mentoring Impact Scholarship valued at $2500. Please note that these additional scholarships have specific criteria and are open to all local schools.
