Roots of Empathy is working with the New Brunswick Association of Community Living to collect garbage bags of used clothing and other goods listed below. NBACL will provide a monetary contribution to Roots of Empathy for each bag collected. The money received will be used to increase the number of Roots of Empathy programs in our area. If each person fills at least one garbage bag we can make a difference for children in our area as well as children and families with intellectual disability in New Brunswick.

The drop-off date is Saturday, April 21 at the Blackville Community Centre between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

Drop-off locations are also available at the following sites:

  • Miramichi – Knights of Columbus Parking Lot (Newcastle)

  • Sunny Corner Lions Club
  • Baie Ste Anne Arena
  • Rogersville Village Office

Acceptable items include men’s, women’s and children’s clothing such as: belts, linens, blankets, dresses, pants, purses, shirts, shoes, shorts, sweaters, towels and stuffies.
